Star rating of attraction: Five-star tourist attraction
The once neglected fairyland, has now walked out of Wulingyuan and demonstrated her beauty to the world along with her sisters—Zhangjiajie and Tianzi Mountain.
Like Zhangjiajie, Yangjiajie wasn't discovered until recently. Yang Chunqiu, a professor of Xiangtan University highly praised Yangjiajie’s “delicate, spectacular, precipitous, magnificent... appealing and marvelous”. Zhou Zhengsong, a professor of Shanxi University said, "Yangjiajie is another magical world newly discovered. It has so many magnificent mountains and high peaks, making it so charming.” Since People's Daily published a story about the newly discovered Yangjiajie in Wulingyuan, major media outlets from home and abroad all made reports about it, thus the “Yangjiajie Fever” was set off in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. The reporters and photographers coming here have all been enchanted by the beautiful scenery in Yangjiajie. They would rather live in the cave than in the well-equipped hotels to appreciate the natural scenery for several days continuously. They praised Yangjiajie with one voice, "Yangjiajie is really amazing, and we’re too delighted to leave here."
Yangjiajie is located less than 10 kilometers from Zhangjiajie. It is located to the west of Zhangjiajie and adjoins Tianzi Mountain in the north, under the jurisdiction of Zhonghu Town of Wulingyuan. Yangjiajie is similar to Zhangjiajie in terms of geographical location and climatic conditions.
Although Yangjiajie and Zhangjiajie are comparable in geologic features with Zhangjiajie, Tianzi Mountain and Suoxi Valley, Yangjiajie has its own unique beauty. It does not resemble Zhangjiajie, but some scenic spots are even better than those in Zhangjiajie.
