A huge addition to Amsterdam's summer festival agenda, this multidisciplinary event brings two packed weekends of culture to the Oostpunt grounds in Amsterdam Oost every year.

Magneet: creative collaboration

The ultimate expedition into creative collaboration, the Magneet concept blossomed into life at the Ruigoord Festival and later at the Lowlands Festival where the public were invited to hit the stage in return for a free beer. In its expanded form, the Magneet Festival encourages visitors to get involved by submitting their own ideas and naturally, even participating in the event itself. This results in a huge range of music, theatre, experimental architecture, art and (kid-friendly) activities.

Two weekends of fun

The action is spread over two weekends with individual days sporting titles such as Shoeless, The Public Decides, Gay Sunday and Burn (on the closing night of the festival).
