The best way to experience all of Nicosia’s sights and landmarks is by walking. Nicosia Municipality in collaboration with the Cyprus Tourism Organization offers guided walking tours of the old and new city that begin at 10 am from the CTO information centre in Laiki Yitonia and are free of charge.

On Mondays, guided tours walk you through the Kaimakli and Pallouriotissa districts, one of the oldest neighbourhoods of the city outside the walls. On Thursdays, visitors are taken on a tour of the old city within the walls to discover its rich history and many hidden secrets. All tours last approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, with a 30 minute break.
