Because in here time seems to have stopped in the 1950s. It has nothing to do with the conservative world of Mum & Dad, however. Here the heroes are more Betty Page than Marilyn Monroe, more Marlon Brando in a leather jacket than Elvis in Hawaii. The DJs and bands that play here from time to time provide the soundtrack with their mix of rockabilly and rock & roll.
