The ultra-modern airport close to the city centre in Hamburg offers quick arrival alternatives and easy access to all national and international destinations.
The new Airport Plaza has connected both terminals since the end of 2008 and includes the central security check area. About 40 shops with a large Marlen and duty-free selection and a rich assortment of culinary options await flight guests after the security check.

The suburban train station at Hamburg Airport is located directly under the Airport Plaza. Above the modern guidance system, four large lifts and eight escalators take travellers directly into the Plaza and the terminals.
The station at the airport is generally served by the S1 line from Wedel/Blankenese and Altona via Central Station; trains run at 10-minute intervals. The journey time is 25 minutes. So travellers do not have to change, trains from the city centre are divided in Ohlsdorf - the front of the train goes to the airport, the rear carriages to Poppenbüttel.
