Situated on the former site of the National Theater of Korea, the newly transformed Myeongdong Theater is a three-story theater venue with seating for 558. The building has a café on the first floor and a restaurant on the fifth. Opening with the play “A happy day for Jinsa (General) Myeong” in June 2009, Myeongdong Theater has since emerged as a leading light in Myeongdong, the number one district for culture among Korean youth.
