Located within Indonesia’s largest recreation park, the Taman Impian Jaya Ancol’s Carnaval Beach has a large open area, perfect for outdoor musical concerts and other shows. The popular heavy metal band Iron Maiden successfully performed here to a most enthusiastic crowd. Carnaval Beach can accommodate up to 6,000 persons. Here is also the Mata Elang International Stadium (MEIS) that has a capacity of up to 20,000 people. The splendid performance of Roxette concert in early March 2012 marked the opening of the stadium.
