Tel-Aviv's historic train station has been renovated and restored to become a trendy shopping center and public gathering place. Located between Tel-Aviv Beach and the Neve Tzedek neighborhood the train station was built in 1892 and was the final stop on the Jerusalem-Jaffa railway line.

The stations unique heritage and historic value has been incorporated into the newly designed complex. Visitors can see restored train carriages and the original train tracks. The 16 train station buildings, some dating back to 1905, have been converted into shopping space, cafes and entertainment venues.

The pedestrian-only complex has both outdoor and indoor areas and cafes like the Café HaTachana housed within the original station building; Italika B'Tachana, a specialty Italian restaurant and Shushka Shvili which serves over 100 types of beer from their roof top tapas bar which has breathtaking view across the Tel-Aviv skyline. Another store at HaTachana is TLV selling exclusively items related to Tel-Aviv and Israel. HaTachana hosts two weekly markets. The Thursday night Unique Trades Fair features art and creative goods as well as live musical performances from 7pm to midnight. On Fridays from 8am to 2pm the Orbanic Market stalls sell organic fruits and vegetables as well as eco-friendly products. HaTachana is the venue for various special events throughout the year like the Beer Festival.
