Baili Rime Valley, literally meaning the 50-kilometer valley, is located on the banks of Mudanjiang near the Lianhua Lake Power Station. It’s about 100 kilometers from Mudanjiang city and 73 kilometers from Harbin-Tongjiang highway the extremely low temperature in winter freezes the Mudanjiang, except for the section near the Lianhua Lake Power Station, as constant water drainage frees the river ice. The water evaporates and forms glaze on the willows and elms along the river. It’s the largest rime forest in China.
