The Guiyuan Temple was built during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It is home to the well known Hall of the 500 Arhats, which is regarded as a sacred place for Buddhist ceremonies and pilgrim gatherings. The temple consists of 15 main buildings including the Great Buddha’s Hall, Hall of the Arhats, Depository of Buddhist Sutras, and the two-side Avalokitesvara. It is the key Buddhist temple in the Han region.
