Lohja is a small town in the middle of fresh and real Finnish Nature only half an hour drive from Helsinki. Be inspired by the same landscape which the creator of the Finnish national epic the Kalevala was. Or visit the exotic Tytyri Mine museum. Find greens for golfing, tracks to explore our forests and lakes for fishing or take part in events organised by local warm-hearted people.

Roots of Finnish culture are brought to life in the many historic places and museums of Lohja. In Sammatti the stories of Elias Lönnrot, the creator of the Finnish national epic the Kalevala, are brought to life. In the Tytyri Mine museum visitors experience the genuine feeling of mines in the cool and damp mine galleries 100m under ground.

Lohja Lake offers many enjoyable moments on the water. The whole family can experience the unique atmosphere, serenity, lush islands and shores with broad-leaved trees of Lake Lohja by rowing or canoeing. On Lake Lohja, you will find open lake scenery and well-kept fishing waters. Pike-Perch is the most wanted fish from this water but you can also get pike and trout.
