New Year’s Eve has been celebrated at Senate Square since 1932. Tens of thousands of people gather to celebrate and enjoy a programme consisting of musical performances, traditional speeches, greetings and singing. The festivities culminate in brilliant fireworks, after which the partying continues throughout the night all around town.
