This ski resort is on the front slope of Altay’s Jiangjun Mountain, 2 kilometers from the city’s downtown area, so it has convenient transportation. It occupies a 600,000-sq-m area 1,300 meters above sea level, with a vertical drop of 300 meters and slopes ranging from 12 to 50 degrees. Its excellent conditions have made it a professional ski resort with international standards. A first phase of project development that is now finished cost 1.8 million yuan and it is in use. The resort can handle 500 tourists at a time and has two cableways that can carry 50 tourists at a time. It also has an alpine ski trail and two specially designed trails for beginners, as well as 200 snowboards and 20 sleds. The resort also has a tourist center that provides food, beverage and shopping services.
