Designed in 1956, the TZUM building is part of the monumental architectural centre of Sofia, the so-called Largo. For the Bulgarians TZUM always has been a symbol of prosperity and a pride for the country. Being the most modern building at its time TZUM has become an obligatory part of each visit to Sofia.

One can find here clothes, shoes, bags, cosmetics and perfumery, watches, lingerie and accessories by the most familiar world brands.

The building of the Central Department Store, known popularly with its Bulgarian Acronym ЦУМ (TZUM), is located at the very heart of the capital city, in immediate proximity to the Council of Ministers, the President’s Office and the National Assembly. Built in the beginning of one of the oldest boulevards of Sofia “Knyaz Alexander Dondukov” blvd. – TZUM epitomizes today the modern capital city.

During 1999 to 2001 under the direction and supervision of senior British CCL personnel TZUM AD successfully completed refurbishment and redevelopment works program. After that the Central Department Store offered Grade ‘A’ western standard retail and offices for rent.

Since year 2000 Central Department Store – TZUM represents the new, modern way of shopping. The trade areas (Shopping center) of TZUM are arranged on six floors.The high quality and fashionable goods offered in the Retail centre attract most of the modern, dynamic people of the city. One can find here clothes, shoes, bags, cosmetics and perfumery, watches, lingerie and accessories by the most familiar world brands.
