You don't have to spend a fortune to see Tel-Aviv, luckily there are a number of free guided walking tours which can give you good inside information about things you might miss if just wandering the streets by yourself.
Tel-Aviv University Campus Art and Architect Tour
Time: Mondays 11am
Meeting point: Dyonon Bookstore at the campus entrance.
This tour takes you around the Tel-Aviv campus, the guide will tell you the stories behind each buildings, point out the interesting art and architecture on the campus, tell you about the landscaped gardens and history of the site.
Tel-Aviv by Night
Time: Tuesday 8pm
Meeting point: corner of Rothschild Blvd and Hertzel Street.
See the city at night, learn about the city's history and first buildings. The tour takes you though Rothschild Blvd, Nahalat Benyamin, and many of the area where Tel-Aviv nightlife thrives.
Old Jaffa
Time: Wednesday, 10am
Meeting point: 2 Marzuk and Azar Street Jaffa (the Tourist Information Center)
See the beautiful historic city of Jaffa including the flea market, archaeological sites, old port and the Crest Garden.
Bauhaus: The White City
Time: Saturday, 11am
Meeting point: 46 Rothschild Blvd corner of Shadal Street
Tel-Aviv is a UNESCO designated site due to having over 400 Bauhaus buildings and international architecture from the 1930s. The tour guide will point out the most interesting of these buildings and the features which make them Bauhaus. You'll see historic buildings in various stages of renovation.
