The Museums of the Pancyprian Gymnasium

The Museums of The Pancyprian Gymnasium, the oldest school of Secondary Education in Cyprus, are being housed in the historical centre of Lefkosia (Nicosia), in a fascinating 12-room space. Apart from the Museum of the History of the School, the Museums of The Pancyprian Gymnasium comprise of: the Archaeological and the Numismatic collection, the collection of Old Maps and all Old Weaponry most of which have a Cypriot character. There is also an art gallery with works of great Cypriot painters who served as teachers and students of the School, a Museum for Natural History and other exhibits. The Museums aim at preserving and exhibiting these diversified collections, giving the opportunity for research and study of the history of education in Cyprus. The Museums of The Pancyprian Gymnasium are open and accessible to visitors of all ages and interests.

Museum on the History of Cypriot Coinage

In the Museum of the History of Cyprus Coinage there is on display an important part of the Numismatic Collection of the Cultural Foundation, with more than 500 coins presenting the history of Cyprus from the period of the city – kingdoms of mid. 6th century BC to the modern issues of the Republic of Cyprus.
