Xiamen Science and Technology Museum, which is located in the Xiamen Culture and Art Center, opened to the public on March 16, 2007.

It is the first national museum built on island. 80% of its exhibitions welcome the participation of visitors, enabling them to enjoy their education tour.

The museum covers an area of 17,000 square meters with the exhibition hall covering 10,000 square meters. With the theme of “Harmony of Human, Science and Technology”, it has designed five thematic exhibition sections which are: “The Cradle of the Ocean”, “Exploration and Discovery”, “Creation of Civilization”, “Harmonious Development”, and “Children’s Future”. It is an important component of Xiamen Culture and Art Center and is also the key part of the municipal cultural construction.
