This is the largest rock within the Abuja Metropolis, ranging about 936 metres above sea level, dominating the landscape of Abuja City and overlooking the National Assembly. Aso means victory in Gbagyi dialect, and Asokoro people are often referred to as people of victory. The Rock which has become synonymous with the nation's seat of power is thus, a symbol of strength and power. The Rock has some caves which can be visited by tourists.
