Baihala village is located at the frontier of China and Kazakhstan. It is honored as the top village in Northwest China. Being a quiet but beautiful village, the village is home to the Tuvan ethnic group who prefer living a quiet life away from the urban hustle and bustle. They also maintain a traditional and friendly folk custom.
By the village, there is a frontier force high sentry post, which is regarded as the “No 1 Sentry Post of Northwest China”.
Baihaba village has both original natural ecology and traditional culture. When it is dawn, you can find smoke curling up from the kitchen chimneys of local people. A picture depicting that has become a classic in photography circles. When it is late autumn, photography fans come here in great numbers to look for inspiration as well as sources of photos.
Due to its environment and popularity, the village was chosen as a photography base by the Chinese Photographers Association in 2002.
