Wucaicheng is located in an ungulate wild animal resort and is 260 kilometers south of Urumqi. It is regarded as a wonderland as people can find a collection of colors there, including red ocher, light yellow, azurite, dark green and grey.

Wucaicheng is said to have the most beautiful Yardang landform. Every dawn or sunset, Wucaicheng is extremely charming. No wonder it has attracted many movie crews to shoot there, such as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and the new edition of Journey to the West.

Apart from the resort itself, visitors can also enjoy some nearby scenery such as agate beach. If you drive to visit the city, you can drive 8 kilometers north of the resort before reaching the area where wild animals are commonly seen.
