1. Buses
Buses in Wuhan offer self-service ticketing. Passengers shall board the bus from the front door and take off from the back door.
Bus fares: 1 yuan each for non air-conditioned buses (0.8 yuan with the Wuhan Tong smart IC card), 2 yuan for air-conditioned buses (1.6 yuan with the card) and 1.5 yuan for non air-conditioned double-decker buses (1.3 yuan with the card) in downtown areas
Bus fares in the suburbs may vary depending on the distance.
2. Ferry
The Wuhan Ferry Company was established in 1990. Ferries used to be the main means of transportation for Wuhan people crossing the rivers. Despite the seven bridges over the Yangtze River, some of the ferry routes have remained intact.
(1) Wuhanguan - Zhonghua Route
Operation Time: 6:30am-8:00pm with an interval of 15 to 20 minutes
Ticket Price: 1.5 yuan/passenger for standard ride and 3 yuan/passenger for deluxe ride
(2) Longwang Temple - Hanyang Gate
Operation Time: The general line runs during morning and evening rush hours (7:00am-9:00am, 4:30pm-7:00pm) with an interval of 30 minutes. The tourism line operates in outside of those hours.
Ticket Price: 1.5 yuan/passenger for general line and 5 yuan/passenger for tourism line
(3) Midnight Routes

Tips
The most convenient docks are located on Wuhanguan in Hankou district and Zhonghua Road in Wuchang district, which respectively connect with the two major business areas in Wuhan, Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street and Simenkou Commercial Street.
3. Light Rail
The light rail line 1 in Hankou starts from Dijiao of Jiang’an district and goes to Dongwu Avenue of Dongxi Lake district, a length of 28.87 kilometers. Dotted with a total of 26 stops, it passes Wuhan Tiandi (Huangpu Road Station), Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street (Xunlimen Station), Wuhan Shopping Mall, and Wuhan International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Liji North Road Station).
Operation Time: 6:30am-9:30pm with a six-minute interval
Ticket Price: 1.5 yuan/passenger within six stops. Over six stops, the ticket price will increase in a gradual fashion to a maximum of 4.5 yuan. There will be a 150-minute limit for each entry and exit. A total of 4.5 yuan will be charged when the passenger exceeds the time limit.
4. Taxi
Wuhan taxi drivers are known for their hospitality. They have a knack for making out-of-town visitors feel right at home.
Elysee: The starting price is 6 yuan (within 2 kilometers). After that, a 1.4 yuan rental fee and 1.5 yuan fuel fee per kilometer will be charged.
Triomphe: The starting price is 8 yuan (within 2 kilometers). After that, a 1.6 yuan rental fee and 1.5 yuan fuel fee per kilometer will be charged.

5. Tour Bus
The tour bus route covers the main tourist attractions, bus terminals, ferry docks, shopping malls, commercial districts, dining establishments, famous architectures and sightseeing boulevards of downtown Wuhan. The tour buses are equipped with an automatic interpretation system (Chinese, English, French and Japanese). With one valid ticket, passengers can get on and off the tour bus at any of the stops and enjoy multiple rides.
