Elephant Legend has four themes to introduce the city of Guilin’s landscape culture, which are “ancient Guilin”, “mysterious village”, “phantom theatre” and “legend of mystical elephant”.

The show allows tourists to have an interactive experience of a fantasy dream world which turns Xiangbi Mountain (a mountain looks like the elephant’s trunk, which is the soul of Guilin scenery) into a real magic theatre, combining wonderful paintings, beautiful actresses, bright lights and fancy films together.

Elephant Legend adopts a brand new tourism concept of introducing high-tech elements into the scenic spot. The tourism project has received a total investment of 160 million yuan ($ 26.23 millon) to date, from Guilin Haomiao Tourism Investment Co Ltd.

The company is a joint-venture with stakes held by three companies, which are Guilin Tourism Development Corporation, Guangxi Financial Investment Group and Guilin Hengxiang Tourism Development Corporation.

Xiangshan Mountain can be considered to be the soul of Guilin’s scenery. The large-scale real landscape show Elephant Legend is based on the Xiangshan Mountain scenic spot, creating a magical wonderland by using new technology and cultural creativity, which is totally different from its sceneries in daytime.
