The Lijiang River Crown Cave Scenic Area is home to one of the most remarkable cave systems in the world and is a major national scenic site and a national AAAA tourist attraction. The area is located in the Caoping Hui autonomous county, 29 kilometers south of Guilin. Sitting at the middle reaches of the beautiful Lijiang River, the scenic area offers unique natural scenery and local culture. It is the only tourist site developed throughout what is widely regarded as the best section of Lijiang River, and has earned the reputation as the “Pearl of Lijiang River.”

The Area has benefited from a total investment of several hundred million yuan so far, and offers a range of tourist attractions including underground-river sightseeing, Xiangba Island, electrical sightseeing slideway, electrical tourist trolleys and Yunwu Villa. Covering an area of over 400 hectares, it has become a major holiday resort integrating tourism, sightseeing, conference, physical rehabilitation, accommodation and entertainment.

The area has gained two China Guinness World Records: Firstly for Crown Cave offering “the most ways of touring” and secondly for the electrical sightseeing slideway being the longest of its kind in the world.
