Located in Dongli village, 16 kilometers southwest of Lipu county, Guilin, the Lipu Fengyu Cave Resort hosts an abundance of blind cave fish (youfengyu in Chinese), hence the name. It is a karst cave system spans through 9 mountains and is a roundabout course of 5.3 kilometers long. Inside the cave, large halls are interconnected with small ones. The largest hall covers an area of more than 25,500 square meters. A boat ride will be necessary for the underground river section which runs a length of 2.3 kilometers across the seat of Lipu county. It is a spectacularly large cave rarely seen both at home and abroad.

Located in Longhuai township, 12 kilometers south of Lipu county and 121 kilometers away from Guilin city, Fengyu Cave Resort is composed of caves and underground rivers and has been rated as a National 4A Scenic Area and a Provincial-level Idyllic Tourist Resort. It was opened to the public on September 28, 1994.

The cave is about 5.3 kilometers long, with underground rivers running through 3.7 kilometers of it. The corridor inside the cave is usually 7 meters to 20 meters in width, with the widest section at 120 meters. The caves, covering a total area of 120 thousand square meters inside, are usually 5 meters to 15 meters in height, with the highest reaching 36 meters. The largest cave, one of the super large caves, covers 25,500 square meters with a total volume of 112 cubic meters.
