Surrounded by mountains, the natural haven of Longsheng Hot Spring Resort is 137 km from Guilin and is an approved Provincial-level Tourist Resort in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

The area, now covered by 5 square kilometers of forests, was formed in the Cambrian period. The hot springs in the area come as a result of the underlying fault zone, which stretches between Baiyaling and Tian’ejie and beyond.

Hot springs gush out from 1200 meters underground with a surface water temperature ranging from 45 degrees Celsius to 58 degrees Celsius. The water contains dozens of microelements that are good for human health such as lithium, zinc, strontium, iron and copper. Examined by experts from the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Light Industry, and the Ministry of Health, the spring water was identified as a meta-silicic acid drinking water with low sodium salinity and heavy contents of calcium, carbonate and magnesium.
