About 138 kilometers away from Guilin, the Tianhu Lake Scenic Area lies on the east side of Zhenbaoding, the second highest peak in southern China. With an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level, this Lake District contains 13 reservoirs, covering an area of 3 square kilometers with a storage capacity of 9.5 million cubic meters. The scenic area’s 13 mirror-like interconnected reservoirs are scattered among lofty mountain ranges.
Blessed with an enchanting landscape, Tianhu Lake features an alpine climate, serving as a perfect summer resort and an ideal place for snow scenes in the winter months. The lake boasts large areas of primeval forests, numerous exotic flora and various wild animals.
