Guilin Shenlong Water World is located at the east bank of the beautiful Lijiang River, taking up an area of 63.3 hectares, 90% of which is covered by forest. It is easily accessible and is only 40 kilometers away from Guilin.

Tourist spots available in the ‘Phase One’ development include Happy Valley, epicurean delicacies, resort hotels and a mountain bar, among other things. At the Happy Valley, facilities that are now open to customers include dragon searching, water dragon henge, Longmen Feidan, and many more. You can taste a variety of fruits and vegetables in the tranquil valley; drive water carts; take a soothing rest for your eyes, heart and lungs at the Chi-kung Club; chat with friends over tea at Dragon Hill Teahouse; watch peacocks; or have a go at grass-sliding. Whatever activity you choose, you are sure to find excitement at the Water World.

At the gate of Water World is the 50-meter long and 8-meter tall Shenlong Fountain, which combines Chinese traditional water elements with ancient dragon culture. It stands with lofty majestic prowess and is the icon in the scenic area.

Service and Reception Area

1. The Service Center is located nearby the parking lot and provides a mix of services including tourism consultation, tour guidance and rest and refreshment. With advanced facilities and quality services, the Service Center has met the standards of AAAA tourist sites.

2. On the Nine-Dragon Wall are stunning murals of the dragon’s nine sons - each with its own style according to legend - displaying the verve of the Chinese dragon.

3. Dragon Valley has had the reputation of the “mountain of dragons” since ancient times. It is China’s Middle Dragon Vein, a critical ridgeline according to Chinese dragon culture and feng shui philosophy.

4. At the Dragon Searching area, statues of the nine sons of dragon are everywhere. Big and small, with various looks, the statues offer surprises for tourists willing to discover.

5. Water Pavilion waterfall restaurant: Dragon Hill Hotel rooms, and multi-function conference rooms.

6. The stone inscription entitled “dragon comes and brings prosperity” at Dragon-come Square is an antique from ancient times and lends itself to the name of the square. The mouth of underground spring at the square has been turned into the Xinglong Canal stone mill for visitors to participate in wish-making.

Forest Sightseeing Area

1. The water of Dragon Hill Spring is pure and mineral-rich. Its unexplainable benefits to health make it a treasure of the Water World.

2. On the water conservation exhibition area at the Water Dragon Henge, the long forgotten water mills, water husking houses and Dragon-Bone waterwheels are brought back to life.

3. Come to the Xing Long Ju Qi spot for a break of regimen. Chi in Chinese culture is traditionally believed to be a form of natural energy that forms all beings in the world. Bathing in the fragrance of herbs the spot offers is relaxing and helps build up one’s Chi and overall health. It is a new idea of maintaining health.

4. At the Dragons Playing in Waters area, there are auxiliary devices such as iron-ring cables for tourists to have some fun while paddling in the water.

5. Pheasant soup is the best delicacy recorded in ancient Chinese literature and is reputed to be the “No.1 Soup in China”.

6. The Dragon Hill Tea Culture Exhibition Area, including Dragon Hill Tea Plantation, Dragon Hill Tea Inn and Dragon Hill Teahouse, is a place where you can pick, make and taste tea. In the beautiful singing of birds and the atmosphere filled with fragrance and mist, you can pick tea leaves, make your own tea and get to know Chinese tea culture.

7. Rejoicing of Dragon and Phoenix: In Chinese culture, peacock is the incarnation of phoenix, which, in traditional folklore, is the spouse of the dragon and the auspicious symbol of good fortune, happiness, beauty and kindness. At the Rejoicing of Dragon and Phoenix area, you can witness the incredible phenomenon of “peacocks flying southeast” at certain times of the year. Alternatively, you can feed the birds, which supposedly transfers their good luck to you.
