The Shangri-La originates from “The Peach Colony” by Tao Yuanming, a well-known scholar in Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420) who depicted a paradise isolated from the outside world in his prose. Shangri-La is one of the first National AAAA Scenic Sites and meets the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. As a destination recommended by World Tourism Organization, and a national exemplary agricultural tourism site, Shangri-La warrants many reasons for visiting.
