Just like peonies, the peony cake is related to China’s only female empress Wu Zetian, who was forced to be a nun at Chang'an Ganye Temple.

The Center was founded in January 2007, with a culture and arts exhibition hall, an administration office, and a product R&D facility for three-color glazed pottery, ancient painted pottery, film culture, cultural exchanges and the cultivation of artists, and shopping for tourists.

At the moment, there are more than 700 people engaged in creating peony paintings, and many of their works have won awards in China and abroad.
