Introduction of the Committee of Investment of World Tourism Cities Federation

The Committee of Investment of World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF) was officially established during the 2016 World Tourism Cities Federation Chongqing Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit, after many years of arrangement and preparation. It is a non-governmental and non-profit branch under the WTCF and aims to serve city and institutional members, as well as to promote the healthy development of the world tourism industry. It is also a service platform under the WTCF to promote cooperation between city members and tourism enterprises as well as between the physical economy and capital market.

The Committee of Investment of WTCF now has more than 30 members, most of which are renowned investment and financing enterprises. The committee has led and hosted fruitful World Tourism Cities Investment & Financing Conference in 4 consecutive years since 2016. In 2016, the conference received 105 collaborative projects in total. The value of potential investment reached CNY 107.13 billion. The total contract value was CNY 80 billion. In 2017, the committee hosted the Tourism Investment Fair with the World Trade Center Los Angeles. 16 noted Chinese financial and fund institutions attended the fair. They negotiated and exchanged opinions with 32 tourism companies from the US and Spain on 40 projects. In 2018, the on-site contract value was CNY 151 billion in total. In 2019, the conference attracted more than 30 well-known investment funds at home and abroad. Over 50 project parties attended the conference. They conducted 8 rounds of “one-on-one” negotiation including over 240 sessions, and the contract value was CNY 8 billion in total.
