All passengers travelling from India to Dubai airports must hold a valid Covid-19 test certificate issued within 48 hours from the time of collecting the sample, a report said.
The revised regulations on PCR Covid-19 tests will come into effect on April 22, said a report in Khaleej Times.
Currently, passengers are required to undergo RT-PCR 72 hours before departure, it said.
The PCR certificate must include the sample collection date and time and the result shown accurately in Arabic or English.
The test must be issued from a certified lab from where the passenger is travelling. It must also include a QR code linked to the original report for verification by the airline, and the Dubai Health Authority upon arrival.
At present, only India’s flag carriers - Air India and Air India Express - and Spice Jet have issued revisions to the existing pre-departure testing policies, the report said.
