China International Travel Mart 2013 will be co-sponsored by CNTA, the government of Yunnan and CAAC in Kunming International Convention & Exhibition Center on October 24-27. At the press conference held in October 23, Mr. Li Shihong, Director of CNTA Department of Tourism Promotion and International Liaison, said that CITM 2013 would be dedicated to highlighting the image of China’s tourism and Trip in Beautiful China, promoting smart travel products and tourism routes in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, further enhancing international exchanges, and building CITM a high-level tourism trading platform of the world.

It is learnt that CITM 2013 would surpass the previous session in Kunming in 2011. It covers a total area of 50,000 square meters and provides 2,359 booths for 102 participating countries/regions, of which 1,941 booths are for domestic and 418 or 17.7% of the booths are for overseas participants. CITM 2013 would also see more than 1,000 invited or voluntary buyers from Korea, Russia, U.S.A and Europe in trading activities and participants from diverse industries including governmental tourism institutions, travel services, hotels, scenic areas, airlines, sightseeing vessel operators, tourism websites and reservation networks. The host province Yunnan organized the largest delegation and would display its charm via 600 booths, the most among all participants. In addition, there will be over 40 VIPs from Korea, Thailand, Malaysia and Zimbabwe, international organizations such as the Pacific Asia Travel Association and South Pacific Tourism Organization, and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in related activities.

Born in 1998, CITM has become the largest and far-reaching event of its kind in Asia-Pacific Region. The next session will be presented in Shanghai on November 13-16, 2014.
