“The Tianjin Eye” Ferris Wheel

In 1400, Zhudi, prince of Yan of Ming Dynasty, crossed the Haihe River on Sancha estuary, moved forward to south of China and conquered Nanjing, took over the throne and changed the title of reign as Yongle. In 1404, the Ming Dynasty set up Zhigu garrison area, and Chengzu Emperor of Ming Dynasty, Zhudi, named it as "Tianjin garrison area". Tianjin, its meaning is the ferry of Emperor. In 2008, the new landmark of Tianjin, "The Tianjin eye" Ferris Wheel finished construction. It is located on Yongle Bridge, where Zhudi crossed the River with his troop. It is the only Ferris wheel who crossed the river and combined with the bridge in the world; both have functions of sightseeing and transportation. Combined with the essence of ferry of emperor and the scenery of downstream of Jiuhe River, the fantastic design is a great breakthrough in the area of construction of Ferris wheel in the world. Its height is 120 meters, equipped with 48 transparent pods. Tianjin Mount Pan Scenic Area

Prosperous in Qing Dynasty, the record of Mount Pan dates back to Han Dynasty. It is famous for both natural scenery and cultural relics. It is a tourist resort of Culture of Buddhism and imperial culture. It was known among Buddhists in Tang Dynasty as “East Wutai Mountain”, and during Kangxi period, it was known as “First Mountain on east of Beijing”. It is one of the top 15 tourist attractions in China. Emperor Qianlong visited Mount Pan for 32 times, and left 1702 poems about Mount Pan, and he said “if I know Mount Pan earlier, there is no need to go to regions on south of the Yangtze River”. In 1994, it was approved by the State Council as the National Key Nature scenic area; in 2007, it was classified as the first batch of national AAAAA scenic area by Chinese National Tourism Administration; in 2011, it was rated as Top 100 scenic areas in China by Chinese National Tourism Administration; in 2012, it was rated as “Advanced Units of National Tourism System” by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Chinese National Tourism Administration. Mount Pan is located in Ji County, the center of Beijing, Tianjin and Tangshan, 60 km on east of Beijing. It takes around 30 minutes thorough Jingping Highway. Mount Pan has lush forest, ancient cave, strange peak and clear stream, 5 scenic areas open to public, and it has more than 300 attractions. The all-service center in front of the front gate offers a leisure place with imperial style. And there are three rope-ways named Rusheng, Yusong and Guayue, and the environmental sightseeing car. Italian Style Street

The Italian style Street is located by Ziyou Avenue and Minzu Street. Currently there are already seven merchants that have set up shop in the street, running and managing places like a foreign-style bar, an ice-cream shop, a Western restaurant, a cake shop and a café. In addition, there are now trackless trolley cars for sightseeing, where tourists can see Tianjin's exhibition center, the old residence of Caoyu, the Italian barracks, Marco Polo Square and other signs of Italian style and architecture.

Five Avenues

Foreign villas are assembled in Five Avenues, which includes five main avenues of Machangdao, Munandao, Dalidao, Chongqingdao and Chengdudao. There are altogether 22 roads, with a total length of 17 kilometers and an area of 1.28 square kilometers. There are over 2,000 garden-style villas built in 1920s and 30s by different countries. Catholic Church

This church really stands out as architectural eye-candy. Constructed in 1917 by French Jesuit missionaries this Tianjin landmark features three massive green domes making it easy to spot miles away. The façade adds to the building's novel appearance with a series of orange and brown horizontal stripes. Given its visual prominence it boggles many minds over how this church survived Mao's cultural revolution. Today it is fully embraced as one of Tianjin's greatest buildings. Morning church services are held daily.

Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean World

Tianjin Haichang Polar Ocean World is a large-scale open scenic spot with the theme of polar ocean culture established by Dalian Haichang Group with an investment of 3.6 billion yuan, integrating eating, housing, transportation, traveling, shopping and entertainment. The project is located in XiangLuo Bay Central Business District in Tianjin Binhai New Area, at the south bank of Haihe River, with the business center of Tang’gu District and the Bund Park across the river. It is divided into four complementary functional areas including polar aquarium, Finnish apartment, arctic business circle and Danish dream castle. Shaped like a swimming whale, the polar aquarium has a construction area of 4,7000 square meters, with the tallest building of 67-meter tall, is the largest polar aquarium with the most kinds and number of polar marine life in the world now. The polar aquarium is divided into nine exhibition areas, where Beluga whales, dolphins, polar bears, penguins, arctic foxes, arctic wolves and other 130 large polar marine animals, and over 30,000 sea creatures gathered. Gaiety theater: Awesome! The first feeling when entering the arena would be that the faint smell of the sea is so exciting that as if coming by the sea. In the theater with the capacity of 3,000 people, we can have a close watch of the performance by whales, dolphins, sea lions and other marine animals and a opportunity to pk hula-hoop with dolphins, and close contact with all sorts of performing animals. Tianjin Triumph Kingdom Theme Amusement Park

Tianjin Triumph Kingdom Theme Amusement Park, costing fifteen billion yuan, is founded by the Yuguiyuan group in Guangdong province. It covers an area of 1300 mu. The park is located at the Yonghe road in Wuqing district of Tianjin. The north part of the park borders on the Wuqing development zone while the south part of the park is adjacent to the Tianjin Wuqing railway station of the Beijing-Tianjin intercity high-speed rail. So the Tianjin triumph kingdom theme amusement park is located at the center of the Beijing-Tianjin business district.
