Congratulatory Message from Ms. Pansy Ho, Chairman of Global Tourism Economy Research Centre (GTER), for the 5th Anniversary of the Founding of World Tourism Cities Federation

On behalf of the Global Tourism Economy Research Centre, I extend my warmest congratulations on the occasion of World Tourism Cities Federation’s 5th Anniversary.

I am very proud to celebrate this milestone with WTCF, because GTERC shares WTCF’s commitment in promoting sustainable growth in the tourism sector and its passion in facilitating exchanges and cooperation.

WTCF’s contribution to the global tourism industry is much more than bringing the world’s tourism cities closer together in one amazing tourism city each and every year, it is its persistence in turning its vision of “Better City Life through Tourism” into reality, through thoughtful creation of programs and initiatives that spark affinities and synergies between cultures and between people.

Since 2012, WTCF has continued to keep its finger on the pulse of tourism in cities across the globe, having created its own World Tourism Cities Evaluation System that provides standardized tourism statistics to serve tourism studies of all the cities in the world, WTCF members or not; and having created different platforms to promote exchanges of ideas and solutions,present tourism product/service offerings, facilitate buyers and sellers, encourage cooperation in investment projects, and promote local tourism development.

I sincerely wish WTCF every success in scaling new heights in the future, and in contributing to advancing sustainable tourism around the world.
