【Introduction】:In 2016 the festival will celebrate its 28th year from the 4-6 November. Held in the beautiful Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno, North Wales the festival has welcomed choirs from all over the world to this wonderful celebration of music.
In 2016 the festival will celebrate its 28th year from the 4-6 November. Held in the beautiful Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno, North Wales the festival has welcomed choirs from all over the world to this wonderful celebration of music. Based at Venue Cymru, the North Wales Choral Festival offers 5 competition categories, Male Voice, Youth, Ladies, Mixed and Barbershop Style across the weekend.
The Festival will kick off on Friday 4th November with the Festival Schools Day seeing junior and senior schools from across North Wales compete for 1st place in a friendly competition.
Saturday 5th November will welcome the weekend competitions starting with the powerful sounds of the Male Voice Choirs at 10am, it will then be time for the Youth Choirs to sing for first, second and third place. Last but not least the Ladies will close the Saturday competitions.
That evening the choirs still have more to give and will be taking part in our Festival Celebration Concert, no judges means no pressure, just extra fun!
For the first time our Sunday competitions will welcome three categories! At 10am our brand new category will take place – the Just For Fun choirs! It will then be competition time for the dazzling Barbershop Choirs. And finally our weekend competitions will finish with the Mixed Choirs.
