Chee Cheong Fun

Chee Cheong Fun is a dish of hand cut steamed flat rice noodle rolls without any filling. It is a popular breakfast food in Penang as the food is simple, tasty and the price is reasonably cheap. The taste suits both the old and the young.

Penang version of Chee Cheong Fun comes drizzled with the basic three types of sauce - sweet sauce, shrimp paste (Hae Ko) and chili sauce along with dash of oil and sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. You can choose to have all the sauces or request for less sauce depending on your preference. I am happy having mine with all the sauces except the sweet sauce.
