The luxury overnight train service will launch in spring 2025 with nine itineraries in Italy, exploring the country's northern and southern regions. Journeys will last one or two nights.
Eleven cars have 12 deluxe cabins, 18 suites and a La Dolce Vita Suite, plus a restaurant, lounge and bar, all designed to celebrate the art and creativity of Italy in the 1960s and 1970s, which is known as the La Dolce Vita period.
Deluxe cabins come with a sofa that turns into a double bed, with footstools that can be used as tables or stools. Suite cabins come with a double bed, a sofa and two armchairs. All cabins and suites have private bathrooms.
The two-night Coast to Coast journey in the north visits Venice, Portofino and Rome, and the two-night La Transiberiana Italiana itinerary in the south visits Palena, Matera and Rome. The one-night Sud Italia -- Maratea e Palermo itinerary in the south takes guests on a journey to Palermo along the coast of Sicily before visiting Maratea and Rome.
Excursions include wine and food tastings, such as a pizza at the Santavenere Hotel in Maratea, a winery and truffle experience in Nizza Monferrato, and private art experiences in Venice.
Onboard, guests can expect live music and entertainment, gourmet meals and bar service, which includes beverages, select wine and spirits. Premium wine and spirits is available for an additional charge.
Prices vary and are tailored to travel preferences and departure date. Most one-night itineraries start at $3,802 per person in a deluxe cabin and USD 5,105 per person in a suite.
Early bookings will be available by phone reservation beginning April 2, while online reservations, including for travel advisors, will begin on April 24.
