Bequia resort to offer air service to guests

Bequia Beach Hotel, on the island of Bequia in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, announced the debut of Bequia Air, which will offer service for hotel guests between Barbados and Bequia.

The airline will use a nine-seat Beechcraft King Air B200. Service begins Dec. 12.

The VIP transfer package will include meet-and-greet services and ground transfers. The package is $649 per person, round trip, or $399 one-way.

Bequia Air said it would offer faster flight times and an alternative to interisland flights on other airlines from Barbados, St. Lucia or St. Vincent, which often take an hour or more and frequently include stops on neighboring islands.

Room rates at the 57-room Bequia Beach Hotel start at $265 per room, per night, double, including breakfast. The airline also will be available for private flights on demand within the Caribbean region.
