【Introduction】:On June 2, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 1 new case of confirmed infections (an imported case in Guangdong province), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai municipality), and no deaths.
On June 2, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 1 new case of confirmed infections (an imported case in Guangdong province), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai municipality), and no deaths. 1 patient was released from hospital after being cured. 370 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.
As of 24:00 on June 2, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 1,762 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,699 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 63 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on June 2, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,021 confirmed cases (increased by 1 by Beijing municipality and 2 by Heilongjiang province, and reduced by 5 by Jiangxi province after verification) and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 78,314 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital (increased by 1 by Beijing and 2 by Heilongjiang, and reduced by 5 by Jiangxi after verification). There still remained 73 confirmed cases (including 2 in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases. So far, 745,950 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 4,609 are now under medical observation.
On June 2, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 4 new asymptomatic cases (including 2 imported cases). 18 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 1 imported case) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 2, 357 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 40 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 2, 1,581 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,093 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 1,038 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 443 in Taiwan (7 had been dead and 427 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
