Olympiastadion Berlin is the center of Berlin and holds various events and competitions; it is also the home field of Hertha BSC Berlin.

The former stadium was a racecourse founded in 1868 and a Track and Field Stadium rebuilt in 1909. The Olympic Stadium we see today was specially built to hold the 1936 Summer Olympic Sports in Berlin, it took nearly three years, and the architect is Werner March. To host the 2006 World Cup, the Olympic stadium was modernized and expanded. Today, the stadium can hold 74,000 viewers; the form of the stadium is a huge circle with concise geometrical design combined with the shape of an ancient stadium in Europe. Color of the runway is blue, as it is also the representative color of Hertha BSC Berlin football team, this special logo makes it different from other sports stadium.

Many large international events have taken place in the Berlin's Olympic Stadium, such as the 2006 World Cup and the World Championships in 2009. Every spring, the DFB finals will take place here. In June 2011, the opening ceremony of the women's World Cup football match was also held here.

Surrounding the stadium, there are buildings, like Plaza de Mayo and Berliner Waldbühne, they were places used by Nazi for large propaganda activities. Now, the Berliner Waldbühne is an ideal place for outdoor concerts at summer.

In the Olympic park, there is a bell tower as high as 77.17 meters. Visitors can take the glass elevator to the roof of the tower for a bird's-eye view of the entire stadium. When the weather is good, visitors can see through downtown to the Alexander Square. At the bottom of the tower, there is German/English bilingual exhibition about the Olympic Games in 1936 and the history of the stadium.
