Many activities are held in Geneva each year. Streets in the city and areas alongside the lakes are always bustling. The most famous activity is the Bol d'Or Mirabaud sailing regatta started in 1839 with over 3000 participants. It is the most important inland lake regatta in the world.

During the competition time, the mono-hull crafts and the multi-hull crafts on the Lake Geneva will catch the attention of the audience. The route is from Geneva to Brave and then back to Geneva, the total distance is 123 kilometers. The competition has attracted more than 500 boats from around the world to participate.
