【Introduction】:The site of today’s Sevilla Cathedral (Santa Maria de la Sede) was once occupied by a great mosque, which was demolished in the 15th century. And then today’s Sevilla Cathedral was built on it. This church ranks the third place among the top five churches of the world, second only to St. Peter s Basilica and Milan Cathedral.

The site of today’s Sevilla Cathedral (Santa Maria de la Sede) was once occupied by a great mosque, which was demolished in the 15th century. And then today’s Sevilla Cathedral was built on it. This church ranks the third place among the top five churches of the world, second only to St. Peter's Basilica and Milan Cathedral. The entire building belongs to the style of the peak season of Spanish Gothic art period, also with the style of  Arabic buildings. The church was recognized as one UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.
