Santa Monica Beach

Santa Monica Beach, located in the north of the Santa Monica Pier, is one of the most famous beaches in Los Angeles. The coastline extends about 2 miles and people can play beach volley ball here, ride a bicycle leisurely along the coastline, enjoy the breeze blowing from ocean on your face, or lazily sunbath under the California hot sun. There is also a Pacific Park on the beach.

There are a large amount of restaurants, movie theaters, and hotels along the coast. A distinctively designed walking street named the 3rd Street is not far from the beach. On this street, there many different shops selling featured goods, and many fashion boutiques and restaurants serving different kinds of delicious foods. The street is always crowded on weekdays or weekends and some famous musical genius may occasionally come here and perform.
