The most popular flea market in Macau is situated near the Ruins of St Paul's but is a little off the beaten tourist track. Follow Rua de S. Paulo to Rua das Estalagens and turn down the hill to the next narrow street. Go past the shops selling antiques, the tailor shops, and other small shops until the road forks. Visitors may occasionally find hawkers setting up stall on the pavement selling antique items such as pottery, statues, posters, toys and stamps.
There is another interesting flea market on Taipa. The bustling Taipa Flea Market sets up stalls from 11:00am to 8:00pm every Sunday in Bombeiros Square in Taipa Village. Dozens of stalls sell hundreds of surprise items from traditional delicacies to elusive souvenirs and accessories, and attract many bargain hunters seeking that special memento of Macau.
