Love a Laugh?

If you are a comedy fan then Dublin is the perfect spot for you. There’s comedy almost every night of the week in many different venues across the city. Located just off the Ha’Penny Bridge, The Ha’Penny Bridge Inn is home to one of Dublin’s most popular comedy clubs with open mic nights taking place every Tuesday and Thursday. The International Comedy Club is the only bar in Ireland which offers comedy seven nights a week and has been visited by many upcoming Irish comedians over the years. Another comedy hot spot in the city is The Laughter Lounge which is conveniently located just off O’Connell Street and is one of the biggest comedy venues in the city and home to some of the biggest names in comedy. Check out what else is on offer here.

Live Sessions

There’s nothing like seeing a live traditional Irish Music session, and in Dublin there is no shortage of them available. Wherever you are in the city, you’ll find a session close by. O’Neills pub located just off Dame Street is always a popular haunt with visitors to the city and is the perfect place to enjoy a lively music session. In the heart of Smithfield, you’ll find The Cobblestone bar where you can enjoy music seven nights a week. If you are in the Temple Bar area, stop off in The Oliver John Gogarty or The Temple Bar pub for a lively atmosphere and great music.

Off The Beaten Track

Dublin has its share of hidden gems, all waiting to be discovered. First stop has got to be a pint in Dublin’s smallest bar, The Dawson Lounge on Dawson Street. Love cocktails? The Bar with No Name on Fade Street, serves up some of the best cocktails in the city. If you fancy a quiet tipple in a luxurious environment and a nice view to watch the world go by, pay a visit to the Library Bar at Central Hotel, located just off South Great George’s Street. Or why not chat with the locals and characters in Grogans Castle lounge which is just a stone’s throw from Grafton Street, you’re sure to hear a few tales and maybe even a song or two.

Dublin Ghost Tour

Looking to see a different side of Dublin? Take a unique tour of Dublin after dark; book yourself onto the Dublin Ghost Bus Tour where you will get a great history lesson as well as a few well-timed frights. The host is a well-known Dublin actor and the stories are great if a little ghoulish. Tourist and local alike will enjoy the unusual sights and learn a lot about the more 'devilish' side to this ancient city.

Now that we’ve got your nights out covered, plan out your days in Dublin here.
