A café gallery in the center of Sapporo, located in the second floor basement of a building lined with restaurants. Satoshi Hata, who serves as regional director of the Sapporo International Art Festival 2014, opened it in 2008 as a gallery dedicated to contemporary art. It is an important art spot in Sapporo, which holds exhibitions, lectures and experimental video and music events featuring both domestic and international artists. Admission to the exhibition room is free and you are free to come and go, and at the back is a café where many people visit to enjoy a chat with the approachable staff. It is open until 23:00, so why not wind up your day at this art space, where you can forget the hustle and bustle on the streets above.
