Beginner classes are frequently held at the Sapporo Curling Stadium, Japan’s first public facility dedicated to curling.
Located next to the Tsukisamu Gym, the Sapporo Curling Stadium opened in September 2012. It is the first public facility in Japan dedicated to curling. It offers international competition level features, including five curling sheets maintained at 5°C. Classes for all levels of curling fans are offered as well. Shoes, sliders, and brushes can be rented for ¥100, which means tourists can also casually try curling. The two-hour classes cost ¥6,000.
