The complex commercial facility “Shin-Sapporo Mark City” centers around the Square of Lights which opens up 5 floors, and incorporates 4 shopping centers; “Sunpiazza” with 140 specialty stores, “Duo” with 90 specialty stores, “Daiei Shin-Sapporo” a general supermarket and “Qualite Prix Shin-Sapporo” a department store. It also includes “Sunpiazza Aquarium”, the only city-type aquarium in Sapporo and where visitors can enjoy a circus show of fishes. Visitors can also watch the performance of the drama unit with its base at the multi-purpose “Sunpiazza Theater” or go to an art exhibition at the “Shin-Sapporo Gallery”. There is a hotel in the complex. This shopping district is recommended for visitors who want to shop and experience other entertainment simultaneously.
