Qingdao Baihua Garden, also known as cultural Sculpture Park for celebrities, neighboring Qingdao Hill in the north and adjacent to Zhongshan Park in the south, is a national 4A-class coastal landscape. It was built in 1990, covering an area of 8.25 hectares, where two rivulets and ten sceneries were constructed such as Sui Han San You (Three Friends of Winter), Hong Tou Jin Qiu (Golden Autumn) and Bao Chun (Spring Coming) along the ground hypsography.
Subsequently, 36,000 square meters imported evergreen lawn were planted, meanwhile, automatic irrigator and audio equipment were installed. In 1995, Qingdao Municipal Government requested many famous sculptors to build statuaries in the park for twenty late outstanding celebrities of Qingdao personalities or ever living in Qingdao, so Qingdao Baihua Garden is also known as cultural Sculpture Park for celebrities. The garden was completed and opened on the National Day of that year. The famous sculptures can reproduce late cultural figures of technology, culture and health sectors in Qingdao and portray the characters and connotations of cultural celebrities. Qingdao Baihua Garden has become one of the patriotic education bases.
