Located in the area of Shizimiao Township, Luanchuan County, Luoyang City, the White Rock Cliff Scenic Zone is well-known throughout the Central Plains with its “three uniquely spectacular” scenes.

The beauty of the White Rock Cliff lies in beautiful cliffs and strangely-shaped rocks. White Rock Cliff appeals to tourists for its variety of strangely-shaped cliffs and rocks resembling either characters from ancient Chinese fairy tales or animals, which are so impressive that tourists can’t help praising their uniqueness.

The White Rock Cliff Scenic Zone boasts numerous strange caves. Beautifully-shaped stalactites in different caves resemble an old man, a snake, a crane and so on. Numerous caves form the landscape of a cave group, which is rare in the western part of Henan Province.

The gorge in the White Rock Cliff Scenic Zone is 3.5 kilometers long and the vertical height of the cliffs on either side of the gorge is about 1,000 meters. The plank road built along the face of the cliff of the Zhuantian Gorge is made of iron and wood and is 1,830 meters long and more than 1,300 meters above the lowest point in the gorge. While walking along the plank road, tourists feel as if they are walking in the sky above the floating white clouds. The plank road is known as the “No.1 Heaven Path in the Yellow River Valley.”
